If you are a freelancer, a student or between jobs in Japan, nobody takes resident tax, health insurance or the national pension from your pay. The city posts slips in June and you pay each one by its date. It is easy to miss one. For permanent residency on a work visa, immigration then asks for proof that every resident tax slip of the last five years was paid by its due date, with the receipts.
So I added a payment book for these slips to Japan Life Hub.
Your slips with their dates
Pick resident tax, health insurance, the pension or another bill, and the year. The slips appear on their due dates: resident tax in June, August, October and January, health insurance in ten slips from June to March, the pension at the end of each next month at ¥17,920. A date on a weekend or a holiday already moves to the next working day, as the law says. Type each amount, and change a date if your slip says another.

Tap "Paid today" when you pay. A slip you added after its date has "Paid by the due date" too, so the record stays right.

The record
Under your bills, the book counts what was paid on time, late and not yet, and how many years back immigration looks at each kind. You can copy the whole book as text and keep it with the receipts.

An e-mail before each date
With a free account the book stays with you, and an e-mail in your language comes 7 days and 1 day before each unpaid slip, and the day after if you have not marked it paid.
